Welcome to SHAARE!

SHAARE is an integrated web resource of genomic, expression and phenotypic data for a range of model organisms. This data has been integrated to allow the creation of sophisticated data mining queries spanning many different sources.

SHAARE can help you determine:

  • The function of your gene
  • The homologs of your gene in other model organisms
  • The gene expression of your gene by developmental stage and tissue
  • The phenotype of your gene in model organisms
  • Genomic interactions of your gene

SHAARE currently contains the following data:

SHAARE is a collaboration between research groups at the Medical Research Council and the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. It is hosted and maintained by the Bioinformatics group at the MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit. It is built using InterMine, a general purpose open-source data warehouse system.

For a brief description of the features of SHAARE please read the feature summary page. For instructions on how to use SHAARE please see the tutorials.
